Email support@setlistmetronome.app. Please include the device you’re using (e.g. iPhone 14, iOS 18) and the app version, especially for bug reports. The version is shown at the bottom-right of every screen, in the form v27 black-bridge. I read every message but I’m one person, so it can take a few days to reply — particularly around gigs.
Frequently asked
- The click feels late on my Bluetooth headphones.
- Bluetooth audio has unavoidable latency — your headphones themselves add a delay. The app doesn’t have a latency-correction setting yet, so for accurate timing, send the click through a wired connection (the phone’s headphone-jack adapter or a USB-C audio out) into your monitor mix. The phone’s built-in speaker is also accurate. A configurable latency offset is on the roadmap.
- My Bluetooth pedal doesn’t advance songs.
- First, confirm the pedal is paired in your phone’s Bluetooth settings (most page-turner pedals appear as a keyboard, not a generic Bluetooth device). Setlist Metronome expects the pedal in Mode 5 — Space/Enter, sometimes labelled Keyboard 1. In that mode the left pedal sends Space (previous song) and the right pedal sends Enter (next song). The mapping is fixed for now; a configurable mapping screen is planned for a future update.
- Will the click keep playing if I lock the phone?
- No. The app holds your screen awake while the click is running, but if you manually lock the phone the click stops. This is by design — on stage you want the screen visible anyway for the BPM readout and next-song preview.
- Will my setlists sync to the rest of the band?
- Not in the current version. Setlists are stored locally on your phone only. Shared setlists across band members is something I’m planning for a future paid tier, but it isn’t in the app today.
- Does it cost anything?
- The app is free, with everything described in the guide included. Future advanced features (e.g. shared setlists, custom click sounds) are likely to be a paid upgrade, but the current feature set will stay free.
- Will there be an Android version?
- Yes. The app is being built cross-platform from day one. iOS ships first; Android will follow shortly after.
- Can I export or back up my setlists?
- Not yet. Export and import is on the roadmap, alongside any cloud-sync work. For now, the data lives only on the device.
Reporting a bug
A useful bug report includes:
- What you expected to happen.
- What actually happened.
- The steps that reproduce it.
- Your device, OS version, and the app version.
If you can record a short screen capture of the issue, that helps enormously.
